For the 3rd year in a row, Colorado State Library staff is leading a cohort from Colorado and Wyoming through Digital Collections Stewardship for historic collections, an experience that uses a peer group learning model designed to increase collaboration and motivation.
This 8-month experience is for participants who:
- work with historic collections and want to enhance their knowledge of the digital collections lifecycle;
- want to feel more confident about creating digital collections that support the goals of their organization and the priorities of their community;
- work with archival collections or local history collections but do not have formal archival training;
- enjoy contributing to discussions, and learning alongside and making connections with professional in their community.
The 8 modules in this experience are largely based on Digital Collections Stewardship, a free online course from OCLC/Webjunction. However, we are changing things up a bit this year by adding new content and altering the course structure and learning environment.

- All meetings will be held virtually over Zoom. You should have received a calendar invite with a Zoom link when you registered.
- Since our meetings rely on group discussion and engagement, we ask that participants be ready to talk with their cameras on.
- All meetings will be recorded and shared with participants.
- A mailing list will be available for communication and peer support.
